Dr. Evan Charles Smith is Vice President of Engineering at Relay Technology Management, Inc. and is currently developing the flagship product “Business Development Live.”  Over the last 30 years he has held various software engineering positions, including chief scientist, director, software engineer, wizard, principal and founder.  Areas of expertise span artificial intelligence (data mining, machine learning, classification, search) to compilers, databases and languages.  His education includes a Bachelor’s (summa cum laude) and Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a Doctor of Medicine from the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago, and course work at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston University and the Harvard Extension School.  Dr. Smith is married to Dr. Ann DeBord Smith, a general surgery resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.  Dr. Smith will be found programming, sailing in Maine, and with his wife.
